Depending upon the requirements of your site we will use either dry blasting technologies or our advanced wet blasting/dustless blasting technologies to remove paint from timber/wood surfaces. We use a variety of blast media/abrasives to undergo the timber sandblasting process, keeping in mind hardness of the timber surface, whether the building is heritage listed or not, thickness of current coating to be removed and many other factors.
All though the name suggests it, Aeroblast Abrasive Blasting will not use silica sand as an abrasive blast media as it poses a great risk of exposing the operator and his or her surroundings to silica dust. Alternatively our sandblasters will use only SILICA FREE blast medias for each project such as glass or garnet.
